Why Should I CUMB?
If reading our last post didn’t set your heart on fire, we’ve got the top four reasons why you should join the CUMB (the “b” is silent, like in “bass”)
WE ROCK. Literally. In our repertoire, you’ll find such favorites as Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite,” Cee-Lo Green’s “Fuck You,” and Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face.” Our more musically inclined bandies arrange new music for us to play, so the catalog is constantly expanding. No Sousa. Ever. We promise.
WE ALWAYS WIN. Seriously. In 103 years of Ivy League competition, the CUMB has yet to lose a game. Don’t believe us? Read what passes for humor in the Harvard Band’s scripts.
WE HAVE FUN. Where else can you find yourself running amok in the heart of NYC at 4 AM one night and scrambling across Baker Field in a cocktail dress that afternoon? Add in weekly *ahem* soirees, snowball wars, and a little oasis we like to call Stew Leonard’s, and you’ll wonder how you ever got along without us.
WE POST BAIL. Seriously. It’s happened before, and we’ll do it again for you. It’s in our constitution.
